Tributes Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the couple.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt able to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has gone by that I can at last express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the film, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without mirth".

"The movie is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a different tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles court official ruled to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A court order put a security hold on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" connected to the probe.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a official listing noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

After the deaths, public personalities shared varying responses.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering divisive claims that were met with immediate backlash by numerous commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his voice to the detractors recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan labeled the remarks as "disappointing" and remarked they demonstrated a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by proposing that an adviser could have intervened when the impulse to weigh in on the passing was made.
